BMG Acquires Turnkey Hydraulics KZN (Apr 2010) “This agreement, which formalises the successful 20 year association between BMG Hydraulics (formerly Goldquest International Hydraulics SA (Pty) Ltd) and Turnkey Hydraulics, augers well for both companies,” says Charles Walters, BMG’s CEO. “With the team’s specialist expertise, BMG Hydraulics will have additional muscle to further enhance its product offering and expand its service to a broader customer base. “The new operation now has the advantage of specialist cylinder and manifold manufacturing, an extensive repair and service facility and a comprehensive product range. These are critical services in the hydraulics sector. “Key to this acquisition is the continued involvement of the three Turnkey Hydraulics directors - Paul Kirk, Hylton Doyle and Ryan Colenbrander – who will play an important role in expanding the business in KwaZulu Natal, neighbouring states and in Madagascar.” With the recent acquisition of Fluidpower Systems in the Eastern Cape, BMG Hydraulics now has a branch network which consists of Johannesburg, Port Elizabeth, Cape Town, Secunda and Durban outlets. Fluidpower Systems was formerly a distributor for BMG Hydraulics in the Eastern Cape. |
